I know I told you before, but you REALLY are getting awesome at conveying messages and emotions in your pieces. <3 Like the way you used the mirror to be the main idea of how people are portrayed by others and what they see themselves, SO perfect. <333
As you know, I LOVE what you did with the faces, and I definitely agree, the style works with this pic! ^^ The shading looks LOVELY as well(I'm commenting on this while looking at the fullview one on DA by the way xD), so gorgeous job on that and the ANATOMYYYY!!<33 That book seems to have done your wonders, Ima-chan!! haha I still keep forgetting about our difference in age because your art skill so totally owns mine. xD
You really were able to convey what you and your brother described, so I commend you on that the most!! ^^ The hair looks great in my opinion, so no worries on that!! I never really knew how to color hair to begin with, if that makes you feel better. xD And yeah, I feel like this shading style is so you!! So I'm glad you went with it too ^^ <3
GOODNESS THOSE HOURS!! haha But it was SO worth it!! I love what you did with the linework and the expressions as well!! Especially since you can't see the girl's face, so her expression could even technically be left up to the viewer. She could even be putting up a front, like smiling, when in actuality the mirror shows how she truly feels. Your color choice for the dress was PERFECT too! It really stands out and you chose a design that really looks super feminine for an even stronger contrast, which I like a LOT. ^^ I also want to comment on the prettiness of the wallpaper texture haha<3 You chose a LOVELY one and I think all of your decisions for this piece were SPOT ON! ^^
