I imagined the situation where Link first meets him and is all surprised...then he kinda cools down and they have a bit of a chat before they begin to fight... It goes something like this: Link: Well, you work for Ganondorf, and I cannot let that pass without notice. Dark: Oh? Is that a challenge? Link: Yes. Let us fight, here and now! I will win! Dark: You? Beat Me? I like the ferocious ones... Heh! You have yourself a deal, Hero! ..........and then, of course, Link kicks his sorry butt..... ^^; At least Dark's confident in himself!
