Initially, I wasn't going to submit anything because I thought there was no way I would win, but then I rethought about it and it wasn't about winning. It was about showing awareness and support for breast cancer, one of the many afflicting cancers. I spent the whole weekend working on this, to show that there is still hope and that we should never give up. About the picture: Her skirt exhibits the ribbon and there are ribbons in her hair too. The tattoo is kanji for hope, hopefully... I tried to make the picture bright against a dark space background, showing hope in darkness. Also, space symbolizes infinite possibilies so it's definitely possible to beat breast cancer.
