I did this piece for the major contest that Adam annouced awhile ago. I actually did this pertaining to all people with all kinds of cancer, although I think it was supposed to be for only breast cancer. This was originally going to be done in color pencils but once I scanned it in, it turned out terrible, so I decided to photoshop it from the original. It turned much better than I expected it to. My mom was actually diagnosed with colon cancer a few years ago. Luckily she was treated early enough, and is still currently going through chemotherapy. My mom's older sister actually died from cancer when I was really young and didn't know her very well. I wasn't told what kind of cancer she had though. My family is afraid that it might be genetic, but I hope not. I did not draw the earth myself. Credits go to NASA. Took me over 10 hours for the photoshop portion and another 3 hours for the lineart and first colored version. Enjoy. This is probably the first time I drew a girl that looked like a girl. :]
