This picture is dedicated to my Grandmother who recently passed away from breast cancer on December 13, 2005. The title of the picture is "Amazing Grace" because that was her favorite song. In the picture the blond girl that appears to be falling represents those who are suffereing and have died from breast cancer. The other girl represents those who help and support those who are suffering, and the pink ribbon obviously is the breast cancer symbol. The butterfly theme in this picture was to symbolize that even though there may be sadness and death, there is also life and happiness. The blond girl fading into butterflies is supposed to represent when people die from breast cancer; it is a relief for them to not have to live through the pain anymore and finally be at peace. Being aware of breast cancer can help save the life of someone you love.
