After figuring that I needed a creative break from stressful things such as schoolwork, I decided I'd go ahead and attempt a side-story Okami comic. This is a sketch for a cover of said comic that I might finish in real media when a background and a few more details are added. Cool thing with drawing stuff from this game is the style. It's fun, it gives me a break from my usual stuff, and it's both flowing and almost abstract at the same time. Not to mention the fact that the game itself is incredibly original (even though derived from various Japanese myths) with likeable characters that each have their own problems and story, yet still manage to fit into the whole of the storyline. The enemies were not just random thugs either, and each had their own region of appearance with a large diversity (a huge plus in my book, I can't stand games where you fight the same things throughout half the game). It's also the first game to ever make me cry...twice. (Also, that's Kai in the background, in case she is too small to see...she has a fun character design, methinks, so I had to include her).
