ohoho i had a fantastically screwed up day at jrVASE in coppell today! it was good because...i got a REEEEALLY nice juror to grade my art work, i went to steak and shake while waiting for the awards ceremony, and i got a 4 and my medal is going to be mailed to mr seidel (my art teacher) on sunday! ^ ^ buuuuut. i got accused of being a cheater by some stupid lady who claims to teach high school digital art. all the people that organized the competition were gathered around the computer that my art was on. they were all like, "omg that is too good." and "how could an 8th grader do that?". mr seidel came in and he's like, so is she good to go? and that stupid lady said "she didn't do this work, it is TRACED from something she got off the internet!" mr seidel was SHOCKED. so he started to FLIP OUT at that stupid lady! she said, "well i should know, i've been teaching high school digital art for years!" and mr seidel said, "i've been watching this girl draw since september last year. she has been creating art like this all year RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME." so they gave him a contract he had to sign that said he SWORE i drew the work from scratch. and he did! when he took it to that stupid lady, she said, "well either you've got a prodigy or you're a LIAR." and mr seidel flipped out again!! he told my mum and OHGYMOD. she could have killed all those women with her anger. mum told them off SO BAD, came back, and sat down. i was almost disqualified, but they changed their minds because of mr seidel and mum's lectures. i had doodled on the table a picture of olivia and mum cut it out and gave it to that stupid lady. mum said, "she just cranked that out in 10 minutes on your little doodle cloth. NO ONE calls my daughter a cheater." so yeah. then they judged this piece on its merit, and i got a 4 (perfect score)! ^ ^ i was so happy. and all that time i was sitting in the cafeteria doodling and waiting for the awards ceremony with my friend raina. :> yeyyy i winz.
