okay, here is my entry for the formal wear catagory in Katami's contest. The scanner killed the skin tone of it and the coloring of the dress, but overall, it still looks pretty good. I used a reference for the pose, though. I wanted to, yet again, keep the outfit simple, yet elegant and sexy. Formal wear isn't JUST about gowns after all! If you haven't guessed, the dress is in more of a tango fashion. See, i was reading my new[[-ish]] Stephen King book and i was reading the story "1408" in it. In the story, the main character said something like this: " 'Tango-light,' he thought. 'The kind of light that makes the dead get up out of their graves and tango.' " And at the time i had been thinking of a possible formal dress and i was like, "Tango-light? Tango dance. TANGO DRESS!!!" :D so 'cha. Materials used: .7mm lead mechanical pencil, prismacolor pencils, mom's scanner, photoshop [[to resize the piccy]] time used:half hour for the sketch, 45 minutes for the coloring [[didn't take that long seeing as i colored it by hand NOT photshop]] i hope it is okay Katami! [[Thank you for letting me butcher your character!]] lol :D
