Hirodamé and his lovely little friend, Taura. The future TerFain of Oray, and Slayer of Demhe. *koff* His third eye appeared once he lost all his hair; about 20 years of age.. and by that time he was about 10 ft, 400-600 lbs. Taura's father had found Hiro (as Taurick named him, "Hierodamé") as baby (or rather 5-years of age; about the time a Demhe mother abandons her child) while hunting with the rest of their Mixed-Specie clan. So the two grew up in the same household. Taura enjoyed hearing about (lighter side of) Demhe tales from her Shaman-esqe father. (Taura and Hiero were exposed to the darker tales of the Demhe once they had left the village) As Hiero grew, he became more clumsy, and nervous, and his appetite increased. The village did have several Torei living among them, and was somewhat used to feeding such ravenous beings. They were not ready for one such as Hiero. At age 10, he was eating the equivalent of what five Torei eat in a week, per day. Easily startled, he kept to himself for the most part; refusing to play with anyone other then Taura. Taura's family is half-Tuatha, and Hierodamé could sense it, as well as their growing dislike of him. The only one who stood beside him was Taura and her younger sister, and then even she became afraid of her older sister's friend-turned-"boyfriend". (The Sidhe and Demhe do not call them boyfriends, rather they are "temporary mates") Hundreds of years later, Hiero and Taura stumbled apon the remains of their clan. The clan was not as overjoyed to see them as the Demhe and his mate was. They attacked Hiero (a feat indeed to bring down a 15 ft, 900 lbs. Demhe for eight men, and a female Torei), and sliced off his horns. The Vembryr (vem-briar) Demhe are often mistaken for their parent specie, the Ambry (aka Fire Demons, Deveels, Devils, etc) Demhe.The Ambry are easily killed by cutting off their horns. The Vembryr, being part Ambry, and part Vampyr de Whitstone, are not killed in such a way. But nonetheless, Hiero dropped into a coma. And Taura and her ex-Clan thought him dead. Taura stayed for many days, weeping on one of his mutilated horns. Hiero awoke almost 800 years later... and to the cry of a baby Demhe, resting inside one of his now eroded horns.
