Except for inhalants, such as glue, paint thinner, etc. He's not a complete idiot you know! Ok, that's a lie. He started drugs because both of his parents are far too busy to pay attention to him. And doing drugs got him the attention... just maybe not the way he wanted to get. He met Tom in the hospital; Tom was there for Chemotherapy, and Alex had OD-ed. Fortunately for him, it was right in front of his parents, and thus was taken to the ER as soon as humanly possible. And "Hooray!" for improved medical technology. After a while, Alex began stealing some of Tom's medications. They had dangerous effects, and somehow or other, turned him into an UNSA. Alex suffers from Manic Depression.
