Meet Rojito and Verde, they are apples who are sad... They are sad because of the space between them. Being boyfriends they would love to cuddle, but sadly cannot... Maybe one day they will be picked and finally be happy together... One day... So let's see... Their names are Spanish... Rojito basically means Little Red and Verde means Green. They took about two and a half hours each and while I was trying to make them look like the apples that Anna Chambers made on her website (http://annachambers.blogspot.com/) I failed and made these instead. I know apples aren't boxy, but I like them... I think they have more character. I actually emailed Ms. Chambers to see if she had a pattern she used to make her apples, but sadly she does not use patterns... Which I understand, I don't really use them either... The green and red fabrics are polyester/cotton blends and the stems are fleece. I painted the eyes with acrylic paint and I hand stitched the mouths. The background is all natural... I took this in my front yard, but the way I got them to hang on the tree is a secret! Thanks for taking a look! Comments, votes, favorites are definitely appreciated! (Especially comments!)
