The Katon Hiemura Kotetsu is Okoi�s zampakutoh bankai. But she can�t use it without becoming a half-hollow. Okoi's short story: Yamamura Okoi look like a 17 years old girl, but she is to year younger than Kisuke-kun; her b-day is on September 3rd. Okoi live in the Soul Society, and she is learning with Yamamoto-sama how to control her bankai without becoming a half-hollow. Totetsu, is okoi�s zampakutoh, it is a really ancient katana, which has a mysterious power. Okoi is very active, kind and friendly. She is very close to all the captains, except from Mayuri, and Soi Fong. Okoi is orphan since she was 2 years old, her parents died because of a war between the people of her own village. She was adopted by a caravan of old people that were passing by. In the caravan, Okoi met Torhu, a wolf puppy, since that moment both of them became best friends. Okoi and Torhu traveled together for really long time, until okoi decided to become a shinigami and be part of one of the Thirteen Squads. She enter to the 12th Squad, her captain was Urahara Kisuke-kun, but when he left the Soul Society, Okoi left it too, looking for her captain. Years later, she met with Kurosaki Ichigo-kun and his friends in the Soul Society, and became very good friends, so Okoi decided to go with them to the real world.
