Here's my finished line art of my character, Gula. The picture was a little more elaborate but it was all erased after I put in the pen lines. I like the portrait of Maerens a lot better. I hate side views.
This is horribly cropped, but the pig still looks funky uncropped so it doesn't matter. It has a longer nose because it's a wild boar. I thought you'd more likely see a wild boar then a pig out in the woods. And there was going to be a group of them but I hated that one so much that I didn't want to draw more. The thing in the background over the fire is a headless boar if you couldn't tell. I wasn't sure how to show Gula's gluttony and a pig at the same time so he's camping.
The pig is the representory animal of the sin gula (gluttony), that's the only reason it's in there. Gula's mark is the sign for the number one in the Varang Kshiti alphabet. It's on his stomach. Gula's fairly laid back. He eats a lot because his metabolism is really high since he works out a lot. His hair and eyes are both orange, the representory color of gula. I wanted to do someone with dreadlocks so I picked Gula. But I also like bangs so his bangs are undreaded. I gave him a little facial hair since he's the oldest of the ten. In my story he's the oldest, cenodoxia and maerens are the two oldest really. I like how his ear came out. His vest was annoying. It's stiff denim so it looks weird. I really do hate that pig though. I think that's it. Thanks for looking!
