This really should be in scraps but since I'll never finish it I'm putting it here. This was done a long time ago in History class. The page was scattered with notes from four different classes and two different semesters. I'm the worst note taker ever, mostly because I don't normally take notes. I colored the notes out but there really isn't room to go further in the picture. When I drew this, I had Epic on the brain but just that little bit didn't come out looking how I wanted Kuri to look. And it didn't fit Ai or Zhek either. It had to be one of those because I was drawing in pencil. Besides the point. I was asked to take notes today and opened up my notebook and found this staring at me. And to myself I said, 'Oh, Maggie.'
So, a little about Maggie. Hm, I'm going to try the stats thingy.
Name: Magpie Foxcroft-Saentes
Alias: Maggie Saentes (pronounced: saintes)
Age: 17? or 18?
Eye Color: gray hazel
Hair Color: black
Relatives: parents both deceased, paternal and maternal grandparents are alive, twin sister (Nightingale)
Friends: Dice Rebels and Innit Llewellyn
Enemies: Nightingale Foxcroft-Saentes (although he's not really aware they're enemies, her issue is with Dice not Maggie)
Origins: Kenya
Homestead: Boston/Ulster
Residence: Corner Seamounts
Personality: happy-go-lucky for the most part
Background: Maggie's father's family was from Boston. His grandparents still live there. His father was a humanitarian and went to Kenya to help out. Maggie's mother family was from Ulster, Scotland. His grandparents still live there. She was a doctor and schooled in the US, so she lost her accent for the most part. She went to Kenya to help out. The two met, got married, had the twins, and then died of malaria when the twins were around eleven. Maggie was taken away to become a soldier against his will while Nightingale was able to be relocated to Ulster. Maggie was found by Dice, hurt in a hospital, when he was about fifteen. Dice broke him out and they've been friends ever since.
This story takes place between fifty and one hundred years from now so things are pretty different. I won't go into in on here when this is just a sketch. Both sets of grandparents as well as Nightingale did try to get a hold of Maggie the whole time he was away. They didn't just leave him to become a soldier at that age. Maggie has an African accent. To me it sounds different from an English one, but they're close.
I like the eye in this. It's just nice to see an eye instead of my usual line art stuff. That's it, thanks for looking and putting up with the long rambling. I usually talk about projects on my Fas et Nefas world if anyone can put up with it me.
