This drawing was inspired by one of the amazing poems NightBeck submitted a couple of days ago. She's great with words, you just can't help but be drawn into her poems and stories. In one of them, Siren its a fairy tale of a war and one survivor, a girl. As always, I fell in love for it specially for the little girl there. I actually visualized her while reading it (see she's THAT good!) so I had this urge to get a pencil and draw her. So yes this is dedicated to beckles! I hope you like it, doll!
It took me awhile to get this done the exact way I see it on my mind (an hour and half?) and after many tries I finally drew her right!
Unfortunately my scanner sucks so much, it didn't let it show most of the details on it so I had to darken the drawing on photoshop which ruin it a bit. Urgh. I apologise for that.
Here's a part from the poem
They say if you're very quiet,
and very still, she'll approach you,
tilting her head back to let her
hair slide back off her face. Her eyes
are wide, deep and white
and so large they threaten to swallow
her face whole, and she smiles simply
and says in a small voice: "Listen,
traveller, can I sing you a song?"
Beautiful, isn't it? You must read the entire poem and other equally great ones on her place which you can click it here
