Contest's Contest (S.A. Rivalry) 
It's late. I have homework. I have an algebra test I am destined to do poorly on. And it's May 5th.
Why dear God, is it May 5th? *angst*

Enough angsting. I simply need to figure out how in the ever lovin' world to end my procrastination. Of course, today is the deadline for the Contest World contest, and I didn't draw up my idea nor color it until a few hours ago. *SO STUPID*
I apologize for the butt-ugly coloring job. It looks like someone had a seizure while coloring it, I know. And the background... Let's not go there.
It really was a last minute job, and I apologize. The inking look horrible (and, yes, the black lines are supposed to be thicker on the uniform, it's not that I made a mistake) and my hands are rather shaky. RAWR.
I had no inspiration for this Contest contest until I watched the S.A: Special A series on veoh. It's a wonderful manga, and the most hilarious anime. It just came out this year, and I'm really loving it.
People in the picture:
far left: Megumi Yamamoto (ranked 4th) - twin of Jun, and daughter of a musically talented family. Despite her heritage, she has a devastating voice when combined with Jun's violin. In fact, it's bad on it's own. She doesn't speak to preserve her voice, so she writes everything on a sketchpad.
middle left: Hikari Hanazono (ranked 2nd) - the daughter of a carpenter and pro wrestling-loving dad, who since she first challenged Kei as a child (and lost, of course) to a wrestling match (after Kei said she wasn't all that good) has made it her life's goal to beat Kei at something. She declared Kei to be her rival, and got into a rich private school (which her family can barely afford) to compete with him. Despite her perseverance, she has never been able to beat Kei at anything. She loves contests, festivals, and trying to beat Kei.
middle right: Kei Takishima (ranked 1st) - the amazing, know-it-all, memorize-things-after-looking-at-them-once son of a rich family, Kei is the rival of Hikari. Little to Hikari's knowledge, he has actually fallen in love with her. Hikari is a bit of a dense blockhead, and as obvious as it is that Kei likes her, she doesn't realize it. Kei hasn't ever lost to Hikari and constantly calls her "No. 2".
far left: Tadashi Karino (and his little Tadashi puppet) (ranked 5th) - a constantly hungry, wander-lusting (always wants to travel, and hates to do it in groups, so he constantly goes off by himself) guy, he loves Akira's cooking (though definitely not Akira). He has a strange sense of humor, and is constantly getting beat up on by Akira and Kei. The smart-idiot of the group. The Tadashi puppet appears in extras, and receives almost twice the amount of pain that Tadashi-human would normally acquire (courtesy of Kei and Akira).
