Okay... took a little longer because I had business over the weekend, but I'm officially announcing the start of my Full-Kitty-Love contest! Basically, draw a fanart of your favorite character from one of my three manga: Full Curse, Kitty Days, or Fear to Love. They can be doing whatever you want them to do (within acceptable limitations, of course =^_^;=)... having a picnic, in a model show, etc. Now's the time to show what you are made of! (Well, if we've seen your own art, we've seen what you're made of... er... anyway) I want to see what all of your creative minds can do with my humble characters! There will be first and runner-up prizes for each manga (one each). First prize will be a full-color drawing of the winner's choosing, runner-ups will get a sketch. Everyone who participated will get complimentary Kitty Days Bookmarks sent to them. If you have any further question, send me a message and I'll clarify anything as best I can.
The contest starts officially May 21 and ends May 31 June 7 (EDIT: I've moved up the deadline for late comers). The deadline may be subject to extension or cancellation based on number of entries. Participants are allowed three entries per category, but only one will be chosen for a win. In the event that you are a first prize or runner-up recipient, send me a pm to specify what you want me to draw for you and for further details on how to receive your complimentary bookmark.
As far as this artwork here goes... well, it looked better on paper. After I scanned it an resized it, the color and quality just went ppllt! I wanted to see how it'd look in pastels. It's very difficult to color intricate details with bulky pastel sticks... I may do a copy in photoshop just for the heck of it. =^_^= I hope many of you enter the contest and if you're looking at this, tell a friend! I'd like as many participants as possible. Even if you're not able to, maybe a friend of yours would like to try. I look forward to seeing all of your talent and what it can do with my beloved characters. =^^= Good luck and may the best artist win!
