this is the dastardly duo who star in my desperately needed to be worked on story, aasthen summon! i hope you can decipher who is who, but just in case, the humany looking person is LIONEL, and the small horse-cat-dragon is AASTHEN. yes, with two "a"s. i don't know why i named him that, but i like it, so it stays. and lionel is named lionel because that is one of my favourite names.

so yeah! i need to get this story going. here are some basic points to it:

1. aasthen is one of many thousands of summons (i have yet to think of a cool name), which are spirits chosen (by God) to match a person's personality, ambition, and heritage, then tied to the person's body when they are born. just as a footnote, no two beings are the same. the being can be summoned using complex and unique hand motions as well as the summoner's will focused onto the summoning. if a person is too weak or is easily distracted (yes, ADD people), then the summon will be more like a hologram and easily fade, and the summoner will feel light-headed. but if a person is too strong, then the summon will explode. it won't die, but it'll just vanish for a while and the summoner will have a serious migrane. if the summoner gets it just right, the summon will appear like a regular object and stay there for however long the person needs it (even if it's just to hang out).

2. aasthen is a legendary summon (YES, I WENT THERE) who has the ability to change it's appearance and abilities (attacks) into different elements, such as the one listed or even ideas like justice and war and love, according to lionel's need for the change. but changing aasthen's type requires an extreme amount of energy and concentration, as well as a new hand motion, so the change would be used in only a dire situation. his type change is mainly focused into the jewel in his forehead. aasthen's default type is wind, which is the form pictured. if the jewel in aasthen's head is broken, then the type will be lost, so lionel takes special care to evade all attacks to aasthen's head.

3. lionel is an idiot teenager who lives in a tiny little wind village on the outskirts of a large, dense forest. he works (very well, actually) in a quarry with his best friend viola, who will be pictured and info'd later. when it comes to everything in life except the art of summoning, he is dumb as a doorknob. he is a prodigious summoner, but still has a lot to learn when it comes to aasthen, who is a little puzzle in hisself.

4. the basic plot of the story is the princess of the kingdom of viennera, named aisling, is dying and has no heirs to succeed her, so she sets up a large tournament in the world open to only summoners. the summoners first have to defeat all of their peers in their province (there are many provinces, all with a specific element or idea as their foundation of their culture) and basically "be the best of their type of summoner". whoever is the top summoner (the last left standing) gets to move on to the finals, wherein the have to report to the royal city and participate in a tournament against all the other province champions. whoever wins that will face the princess' advisors and council, then they will face the princess themselves. whomever is able to defeat the princess (who is the most renowned and experienced summoner in the world) and all of the other summoners in the world is worthy of becoming the new prince or princess. so the story follows lionel as he works his way through the tournament.

5. on his journey, he is accompanied by viola, an earth summoner named claymore, and a orphan summon named sprout. he has a rival, simon, who is a wind summoner from his hometown. they will constantly be meeting up and fighting and trying to best each other in the tournament. all of said persons will be picture'd and info'd laters.

6. summons are able to "evolve" into different forms. yes, like pokémon. aasthen will be able to do this later on, which will develop both his default skills as well as his type skills. he will change in appearance too.

OKAY. that really all was a huge mouthful. THAT WAS ALL NECESSARY THOUGH. all my basic notes on the storyline, right thar, baybee. YES. sorry it was so long.

oh, this isn't a draft because these are the duo's final designs (or one of aasthen's final designs). YAYYYYYYYYYYY.
