Alright, another thing to cross off of my list of things to do this summer: the trade with Die Before I Wake. It's Hiei with a wolf pup from Die Before I Wake's YYH fanfiction, Katana.

I tried something a bit new this time as I had a final copy to scan, and another copy which a call my "Shading Base". which I put as a layer over my original copy and use it as my shading guide. I also tried using the smudge brush for the first time. I need some practice with it. Oh, another first: drawing an animal. Truthfully, I'm no good at animals. The ears on the pup took up a chunk of time.

Not much to say about it, really. After I thought I was finished, I decided to get more elaborate and put in two more lines that are not on my original copy and added a background. This is my second most complex piece with 30 layers. The record, 34 layers, goes to my Marth and Zelda pic.
