Old 7/18/07:
The event in this picture takes place five years after the Shippuuden series.
The Characters in the picture are Kazumi Hoshi and Kenji Daiki.
Here’s the story behind the picture.
Stabbed in the Back
In the desert mountains near the Sand Village, Kazumi Hoshi was walking when a man,
who was covered from head to tow in black except for his leaf village jacket, stood two feet in front of her and began pulling out a kunai from the pouch on his right leg.
Once she saw what he was about to do, she threw her bamboo hat down on the ground and prepared for battle.
The battle was fought for quite some time as Jutsu were performed ,as kunias clashed, and as hits were exchanged.
As their hands were locked together, their faces only inches away from each other, Kazumi Hoshi noticed something. His hand were wooden. That could only mean he was a puppet! Then they both let go of each other and the puppet made two hand signs:
One that ignited the explosive notes inside the jacket and one that would send the spirit out of the puppet and back to the user.
Her eyes widened when she realized what the puppet was doing.
Boom!
Behind some rocks Kenji Daiki saw that his plan had worked, now he just had to finish her off.
So he jumped from where he was hiding and began running toward the spot where he saw her before. While he was running, the smoke began to depart and he could see her.
He pulled out a kunai from his pouch on his right leg and prepared to stab her in the back, just like Kazumi had done to Konoha when she joined Akatsuki.
But instead of stabbing her in the back, he went right through her as she pulled out a kunia and stabbed him in the back.
Kenji Daiki laid there on the ground wounded and unable to move because he used a large amount of Chakra when he sent his spirit into the puppet and when he performed the many Jutsu during the battle.
Kazumi picked up her bamboo hat, placed it on her head and walked away with little remorse to what she had done to her former best friend.
As you can see in the picture, I colored the background and I’m pretty happy with how it came out. Also you can see that I added the portrait like versions of Kazumi Hoshi and Kenji Daiki to the picture because I felt that picture looked plaining before I added the portraits.
I hope you all like the picture and the story.
