Its a fantastic book, about the possible future; where the world is flooded, so the only land is in the fabled sky cities. They are beautiful, advanced, and strange. But its secrets are dark and cruel. Mara, and her island find New Mungo, one of the New World's cities, but is left to a terrible fate. Mara escapes into the city gates, into a strange, forboding world, where life has returned to a more primitive state. The netherworld. Above them lies the New Mungo. But how to get into such a place? Mara must find a way, if she is to save her island, the refugees, and the rest of the planet outside of the sky.
