This was actually my final project for my mixed media art class last year. The assignment was to take a famous art piece and do your own rendition in a different medium in style. I chose my favorite piece, The Girl With the Pearl Earring, by Johannes Vermeer. I don't like this piece because of the movie or book. I've simply always like the piece and all of Vermeer's works. In fact I think Scarlet Johanson is an insult to the painting (DON'T KILL ME!! (O)__(O)") But anyways, I made her in my own manga style and the mediums I used were ink, water paints, and acrylics. Water colors are hard -____-" Anyways hope you like!
