Finished product of my "Singer" line art. Could be way better, but don't have the time.
This is the first time I drew a Zephyrian. And this guy was one of the hard ones to color.
Dislikes:
Could've done better on the hair, eyes, skin, shading, and ocean.
Likes:
Generally proud of it. Like the distant shore with the lights the most.
Picture Info:
The character was sketched and then digitally made into a line art. The background was all digitally drawn. Originally I was going to have two people sword fighting on the ship deck but I didn't have room. And then I wanted the flag as the backdrop but already drew half the deck. I messed up on a plank and covered it with the flag. Probably subconciously messed up because I really wanted part of that flag in there.
Part of the line art of the two scars is nearly white to make them look more out of place. Bits of his hair look strange because it was originally too light. Got mad and did a quick job over it without touch-up. The one big highlight was purposely made much lighter to show that his hair isn't black. His stubble took two hours to get right.
His lips are six points pinker than his complextion. His eyelashes have purle highlights. His hair is up in a ponytail.
Character Info:
His name is Shadi von Bavol. Translated it is 'singer of the wing' (von instend of vom since the country is fiction). He was actually fairly important to the country, just no one noticed except those who mattered. He has dark grayish purple hair and light turquiose eyes. When the show starts up he's been dead for twelve years. Poor Shadi.
Well, my fingers are dead now. Thanks for looking, much appreciated. Dedicated to Bobby "Uncouth" who hates that Shadi's dead. I'm not a jerk. He was dead before he was named. I said not to get attached.
Shadi and concepts are all copywrite The Unsaid Works.
