I liked the line art SO much better, Devin turned out really kewl but thats the only part i like. Alaric has a odd shaped head and the background is terrible. Arg, i really hate-Oooh look! Chocolate!

So the story behind this is it is a scene from my book(this part not posted yet) where Devin sees Alaric for the first time. In order to free Alaric from Therise she had Skelacat put an aquatic spell on her, therefor she turned into a lorelei. Loreleis are a bit like mermaids but can be more easily compared with sirens(NOT the bird kind) in the fact they lure sailors to their doom by their singing.
Therise(There-Es-eh) is vampire tongue for a punishment for them when in that realm(where they dont need to drink blood to survive, but the Ruler[Alaric] must in order to keep their kingly powers) if they kill three by drinking their blood they are forcully put there. It is a huge lake where they are chained underwater, they cant die but they cant reach the surface. Sooner or later they go into a "sleep" state and their eyes film over. If a chain breaks then (since water rejects the dead) they float upwards but if they hit another then the other flails about and grabs them out of pure instinct. If they're lucky enough to reach the surface they awaken.
