Well, I'm not too happy with how the layout of this pic turned out, but the pic was mainly to get some character designs out there, so I guess it's okay. The blue haired one is a guy, f.y.i. These are my magical girls and the ringleader. Here's the summary in a nutshell:
The magical girls powers and outfits are based on the suits in a card deck. Heart, Clubs, Spades, and Diamonds. I tried to make it obvious who was what without over doing it. The person who gives them these powers and is sort of like the leader is the Joker. He and his soldiers battle against the face cards: King, Queen, Ace, and Jack.
Yup, so that's about all I have on that. It might make an interesting manga someday, if I ever decide to attempt a magical girl manga. That might turn out interesting.
So anyway, my favorite is the Joker, I love how his helmet turned out. I tried to give the girls a unique personality and sort of break away from the traditional personality types you see in magical girl manga and animes. I wanted my characters to be weird. Did I do that?
