A WIP of my entry in Le Kun’s contest. I’m actually done with the shading and everything, but knowing that the description is just as important, I’m going to make use of the one-week grace period to try and conjure something. Thanks for the extra time, Le kun. 8'D I’ll be submitting this piece first to mark my progress. I’ll do an update soon.

Firstly, a rough piece of info about the contest: create a Final Fantasy OC. It’s as simple as that, but eh, we all know FF has crazy character designs. In fact, this is the very reason why my portfolio is entirely devoid of anything related to Squeenix even though I love their games, LOL. Also, I have no confidence in designing costumes, so I shall resort to doing summons instead of party members. |D

Name: Noroimusha (呪武者), meaning "cursed warrior”.

This pic was redrawn on a fresh piece of paper, the ugly-ass draft can be found here. I tried to search for reference when drawing the armour, but real-life designs are far too complex for me to pull off, so I settled for my own, which turned out pretty average...

I will skip the details about this pic and save it for the final version, for judging purposes. Meanwhile, comments and critique are most appreciated. :)
