I originally just had this posted on my DeviantArt account with the following comments:

"Messing around with some tweaked stylings and perspective...sigh. Makes me think back to the early days, when I was merely eleven, scratching out lines in sixth grade. Now I'm one quarter away from high school graduation.

"Still Katana after all these years."

Looking at it, I realized it's so much more suited for here than anywhere else. I've really grown up here, at this website. So much so that the essay I'm going to submit to the NIU Honors Program department was about finding theOtaku. The prompt? "Write about an experience(s) that has had an important impact on your life."

I think hanging around here for eleven years, officially being "Katana" for going on six, meeting peeps at ACen, and watching the site grow constitutes as an impact.
