This is based off of a book I have to read for English, it's called, "The Giver." The main character, Jonas, lives is a world of 'Sameness', a world where there are no choices. It's sort of a utopia, since there's no war,no crime, no pain and other bad stuff, but some things are taken out, too. Those things would be emotions, individuality(For example, all birthdays are celebrated on December, though all children weren't born that month), joy and maybe some other stuff.
Oh, especially no emotions! In Jonas's community, there's something known as "release," where people are...killed. Especially old people and babies who don't meet up to certain expectations. In one chapter, Jonas's dad has to decide something about these identical twin boys:Which will stay, and which one will be released? That is decided by which is bigger. So, the smaller baby gets injected in the forehead(the veins in his arm are too small), it dies, then, Jonas's dad puts it in a box and drops it down what's probably a trash chute!
ANYONE WITH NO EMOTIONS AT ALL WOULD DEFINATELY KILL A BABY AND NOT FEEL ANYTHING! Oh, also, Jonas gets feelings, colors and everything else not in there from someone known as "The Giver." Jonas is the new "Receiver of Memory," who has to have the "memories" of pain, joy and all that jazz.
Well, enjoy~!
PS. The words are:No war, no pain, no love, no choices
