Don't kill me, I know it looks suckish =_= This was a school assignment for 'Arts&Culture'. I saw this outfit and felt like drawing it, then I found out I
was wasting timethat I'm short of time, so I ended up using the drawing in such a way. >_>This is what I wrote around 11.30PM... so sleepy, haha. X3
"After having watched the movie, I learnt how important the green scarf is. I found it pretty strange that such an important object was not presented in the posters and other advertisements of the movie. Of course not all important features should be presented, but I think the green scarf should have been presented as it is an important part of her Rebecca’s (or the main character’s) identity: ‘The Girl in the Green Scarf’. Furthermore, it symbolizes the relation between Rebecca and Luke as you might have noticed while reading the plot.
First of all, I started looking for outfits of Rebecca. To my opinion this is the best outfit she wore throughout the movie and I added two shopping bags to make her shopaholic attitude more obvious. The outfit is a great, unique combination of clothes. This outfit shows us Rebecca has a strong feeling of fashion/design. Furthermore, the fact she is wearing not just one handbag but two, and the fact it she is wearing gloves although also wearing a short skirt and summer shoes, are signs of her having bought products she does not need to have. She only bought and wears them because it would look good with her outfit.
After an hour of sketching, I started colouring. Everything is done in greyscale except the scarf, so it would certainly stand out. In my poster the green scarf makes Rebecca look more mysterious (The Girl in the Green Scarf was a name to keep Rebecca’s identity hidden), and I hope she also looks a little more sophisticated (her shopping behaviour improves, she is able to solve some big issues and in the end makes the right decisions). This way, I hope, the movie will not look like a standard story about a white girl with rejected creditcards."
