last year at the NYAF, we ran into huge flocks of nyc pigeons! so when I think of new york city now, I think of those birds.
Newko-chan has her own personal flock, as well as clothing that represents nyc and japanese anime:
on one sock is the empire state building, while on the other is the natural skyscraper of japan (bamboo!).
in her hair is a hotdog clip, and she wears a japanese school uniform (popular with cosplayers, too).

the name Newko comes from "new york" and the japanese name ending "-ko."
