EDIT 4/22/09- Forgot to post a description of what this guy's about. This kid's name is Caleb and, like many of us, is a fan of anime and manga and hopes to be a special guest this year!

Since last year's mascot was a Godzilla character, I figured the second one this year should be a human anime-style, Ash-Ketchum-like host that's simple and a lot of fun. Seeing as how a lot of other contestants used NY symbols very literally (Big Apple, taxi, etc), I decided to start like that but make them subtle in the end of the process. His colors are supposed to reflect those in the NYAF logo. his head used to be a literal apple, but developed into normal hair- you can still see traces of the stem and leaf on his head. He also used to wear a working business suit, but I changed it to a vest at the last minute.

Also, since the file has to be 300 DPI, why can't I fit a file that large into this site (I get a window that says the file is too large). It makes sense that it must be huge to be clear on the printed page, right? Just wondering...
