The sketch part of this was very difficult becuas ei was attempting a realistic shading look without using a reference. The face shape was also very difficult to do.
When I actually envisioned this is was a girl crying into her arms on top of a pile of red magazines, but my instinct swerved me a different way and my magazines looked more like money, so yeeahh....

Point: basicially the point of this picture is that our culture glorifies things like cars, money and clothes, but none of these things truly complete the person, so deep down we are left empty.
hence the colorless girl.

So yeah...
