Okay, so eternal spirit was doing these character theme things and Zares' second theme stirred this little idea in my head.

It makes me think of that guy in Majora's Mask who sells you the All Night Mask, Ocarina of Time's Spirit temple, and the desert area from Twilight Princess all in one. Needless to say, awesome imagery going on in my mind. So I attempted to draw Zares in a desert like outfit with a fairy companion (this actually has no Zelda reference to it XD I just wanted to throw that character in there)
Did some experimenting with this image as well. The sand was all done by making little marks. I'm actually a little sad because the scanner didn't pic up my texturing too well. I had made faint marks to create shadow in the sand and still keep a grainy feel, but it seems it didn't show up much
I also experimented with blending stumps. Now, this is VERY rare of me to do this. Usually I prefer to avoid stumps or blending with my fingers because I'm afraid I'll become too dependant on them for smoother shading. As I work now, I'm more attentive to creating a smooth transition of shades by myself. If I start depending on objects to do that for me I might get sloppy in my shading from being lazy :/ I used it on the cape, sky, and a bit of the sand because I felt it looked weird and could use some smoothing out.
Zares belongs to eternal spirit
fairy is a twist on a character belonging to twilight princess
