Well, this is my paternal grandma. I don't have time to draw anything today, as I'm in the process of unpacking from moving into a new room...And since I haven't submitted this yet, I figure, "Well, why not? I love Grandma!" Sorry if the color's wonky...I tried to fix it...I drew her in all pinks for a homework assignment in Figure Drawing this past semester...
Okay, so I've been drawing since before I could sit up by myself...Literally! In the mornings before he went to work, my paternal grandpa would hold me in his lap and hold a pencil in my hand and help me draw. I used to stay with grandma while mom was at work. It stayed like that until I went into 7th grade. Then I started staying by myself (with my younger brother, of course!). So, I owe my love of drawing and art to my grandpa. I also owe my talent to God, who saw fit to give me a wonderful gift to share with others. I thank Him for that talent, and for my parents and grandparents, who've always supported me in my decisions.
Oh, yeah, Mariel, I'm dedicating this to you, since I haven't dedicated to anyone in a while and since you're the reason I know about Drawing Day. :D Thanks!
