A birthday present for my best friend... This counts as fan art, right?

Yes. It was based on an idea by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. Last time I checked.. Fan art meant doing art based on a fandom (Duh). So If you have a nasty comment about this.. Go ahead and say it. I'll just delete it because this was a fan art (melding Death Note and Yaoi) done for a bit of a joke as a gift for a friend and that's all there is to it.
