Long explanation here...bear with me.
When I started working on this, I was listening to Venessa Mae's interpretation of the Devil's Trill. Her's is just a portion of the Sonata by Tartini. In her's, there are a lot of double stops, thus, Kaname here is playing on two strings. Is he playing actual notes from the song? Probably not. I wasn't paying attention and I like his hand how it is. Anyway, both Mae's version and the original are really neat sounding. Both of them are on YouTube. Though I figure one that doesn't like classical sounding music will get bored listening to the original; tis long.
I ruined two very beautiful things in this drawing. T_T I'm sorry Kaname, I can never draw you right...
I have problems drawing Kaname so I keep on trying, but I was getting bored drawing him with Zero all the time. So I wanted to draw him with an instrument. It was between the piano or the violin; since both look very pretty when played by someone with long, graceful fingers. I chose the violin since I've played it for nearly 10 years thinking it'd be easy... Noooo...I seriously worked on that thing for hours and it still looks like crapola.
In all actuality, I'm kinda happy about how Kaname turned out. It's the best I've ever done drawing him. Even if he still doesn't look too accurate.
I'm scared to ink and color this. >.<
