A personal project that I'm working on.... might be part of my sketchbook assignments for school, too, though. :)

I'm in the process of weaving a story around this picture. It may not be something I pursue in the future, but I don't want a stand-alone picture without some sort of connotation. I like my characters, even if it's the only time I draw them, to have a life story and a fantastic adventure at hand! <3 But for now, the little boy is named Xu Li, and the dragon is Nian. I am doing a little bit of studying into Chinese culture to wrap up a story in a nice little bow.

...I also admit I've been watching the Where The Wild Things Are trailer too much, lol.
