Emi was an attempt to create a trilingigual VOCALOID, but when the company screwed up her voice bank, they threw her out. BUT, after her first master, a man by the name of Ryo, found her and took her in, he managed to fix up her voice bank, though he just took away her old corrupted voice, mixed the voices of Kagamine Rin and Sakine Meiko and lowered it, and used that for her new voice.
After Ryo passed on, she went into the hands of a young girl by the name of Haruko. Haruko became rather annoying as time passed on, and as time passed on, Emi became more tomboyish, assertive and slightly rebellious.
One night after a large argument, Emi ran away, hoping to find a large mansion that is rumored to be the home of many vocaloids, including the officials(I just got this part from the Vocaloid rp on DA, I'm not part of it, I just lurk around some people in it♥).
Surprisingly, once Emi decided to start putting up her songs, she's gained a few other versions of her, and has met her brother, Misutine Emito, who was also thrown out and fixed.
She also has met Uine Issei and Issuke, hers and Emito's failures, Remi, who's actually an android and has Ryo's voice, Emel, the older and glitched version of her and Emiko, the tsundere younger version of her.
Emi's not exactly the most graceful vocaloid ever, she's pretty much a tomboy, assertive and slightly rebellious, though she has a little bit of denial in her when she sees a bunch of girly-girls, and mixed with her arguments with Haruko, gives her the occasional feeling of denial and that people would like her better if she was,"ladylike."
And dang did I type so much!
Ah, well, I guess it's worth it...
