I re-posted this one as a submit to harvestmoonluvr's Miyazaki contest. I decided to make Markl more on the cute side, because I feel like that's truer to his character...though I might end up doing a hot version just for fun.
Over all, this picture isn't quite as perfect as I wanted it, but I'm pretty proud of myself for taking time to draw out the background on photoshop.
