This is Keba, my original character and online persona. Keba started out as an "Inuyasha" fan character, but soon evolved into something beyond that.

It all started when an old friend of mine got into "Inuyasha" and decided to make her own fan character, a half-demon dog named Yume. She wanted me to have a fan character too, so I chose a fox demon. I didn't know any Japanese, so I couldn't give my character an authentic-sounding name, but my friend did some research and came up with several fitting Japanese names for my fox demon. I liked the sound of the name "Keba" (it means fluff) so I picked that one.

Soon, Keba became my nickname due to my fluffy hair. I also used it as my username for just about every site I went to. When the name "Keba" was taken on various sites, I tacked on "Si Rota", a corruption of my last name in real life. I am SO going to use this name as my stage name when I become a singer.

I've involved my character in a bunch of different projects and stories. Some have been abandoned, some were completed, and others are in the works. My most recent story with Keba is called "Destination" in which Keba is a young, orphaned fox demon who is being pursued by a dark demon. Eventually help comes to her in the form of an ordinary man, of all things. I know I didn't do a good job of summarizing that. Yes, the plot is simple, but I'm working more on character development with "Destination".

OK, now on to commentary about the drawing, itself. I'm not entirely satisfied with it, but I don't really want to work on it, anymore. Funny how once you finish inking it, you see all the mistakes you can no longer undo. So I know her hands and the placement of her head are a little messed up. And I can't shade to save my life, either.

As for the clothes, I know they're kind of plain. Sometimes I draw her wearing traditional Japanese outfits (which I'm not good at doing at all) and other times I dress her in modern clothes. This time, I decided to dress her in things I actually own. I have no experience in coming up with good outfits; I'm just a blue jeans and t-shirts kind of person.
