My self-insert character Ferret X. Oolong (had the screen name for years before her) Other then the cat ears and tail she looks pretty much like me. Unlike me she wears contacts a lot of the time, since I have a very hard time drawing glasses.

She's in her early 20s (bit older then me XD) and studies zoology. Due to the views on non-humans on Drackovack (my story 'verse) Terra she tends to wear hats, pin her ears down (That sounds uncomfortable ._.) and stuff her tail down her pants.

She seems to despite the nekomimi features be a perfectly ordinary human except for having unusually fast reflexes, sensitive hearing, strong sharp nails, and better night vision.

Personality-wise she takes things too seriously much of the time. She likes to study and is the type of person to read textbooks for fun. When she's not reading TBs she likes fantasy. She has a fascination with dragons and wishes to prove they exist. When she wants to be (and sometimes when she doesn't) she can be quite cute. Once something starts her getting flustered it goes downhill and she is too easily moved to violence.
