More cakes!
I really wanted to practice my cakes and go further then the last ones I made so I tried to do butter cup one ( the brown one) and a stawberryish one (the yellow one). With the strawberry one I wanted to do a cream/jelly/liquid top so I got some TLS and really old baked red clay and mixed them together into the topping you see there. I was really proud of it too, when I cut it the next day it wasn’t running or anything so it didn’t create a huge mess.
The white icing was a bit dirty with small hairs and smudges of colors from my hands and work table. So I really need to work on my lighter clays staying clean when I work with them. Also the shapes can but cleaner and less crazy looking. The butter cup one was really tall so when I tried to cut it with a kitchen knife it made the middle of the cake to bend down in the middle. ^-^; I was really looking forward to those as well. The smaller square cakes I tried a thick fudge-y layer with TLS. It came out looking like another clay layer but it was nice to try out. A lot of things I can work on the next time but I’m glad that I’m learning!
