The demon mer is actually a cross between a human demon, a mermaid, and a dragon. She had her tongue cut out long ago for a now unknown crime rendering her mute. She's currently in residence near a small mermaid village generally being a pest. They don't mind as much as they could since she drives off other nasties and mostly just plays somewhat cruel pranks.
