Alternate title: GTFO UR DS
Another piece I'm very happy with, and also for Art 101 (Drawing 2). This is the second go-around with oil pastel, and the popular consensus is that this is even better than the one I did a mere three weeks ago, which was very well received (thanks guys!). Hey, I can dig it.
This project was "surrealism", an area I do not think in very well. Since my strength is portraits, I tried to think of something I could do with that. My original idea involved chibis, though I scrapped that pretty quick since it wasn't really what I wanted to do (nor do I think it would be viewed positively the prof). Then this idea came about, and I ran with it.
...Well, the concept came. The original original involved two mini-Kats, was a sideview, and akin to Gulliver's Travels. Violence imparted to me was always the intent, so hey, whatever works works.
The most frustrating and yet very fun part was the wall. See, the two walls in my dorm room that surround my bed are home to art work - one of my own stuff, and one of my friends'. This one turned out unbelievably good. XD Behind my head is a photo of David Tennant dressed as Rex from Rex Is (Not) Your Lawyer (*crosses fingers*). Then there's toga!Mike, chibi drunk!Doc and Tati, and way up in the corner are chibis of me and 'gome as drawn by...'gome.
So why am I attacking myself? Because I bought Ace Attorney: Investigations to play over spring break. Didn't finish it. But the Sunday before I came back to school, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver were released, and I was playing SS obsessively the first week back when I should've been, you know, working on projects or something. >3>
