so, this is basically the cover art for first small 'volume' of 'Neo Mew Thesis'. (guess I came through after all :D)

getting the lighting done was... really hard. I have poor perception when it comes to skin color theory, and this was no exception. but somehow I managed...?

I tried to make it similar to the original TMM manga cover http://welcomeconsumer.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/manga_tokyo_mew_mew.jpg,

Except... less strawberries and more mecha ^^;

Essentially, a very sinister Tokyo Mew Mew. (I would not want those wires plugged into my skin)

I also based the pose off of a work by the artist Alphonse Mucha http://www.abcgallery.com/M/mucha/mucha8.html. There's more in this set, and I'm using each as a reference for the covers :)

I'm pretty okay with this as the first cover, but I'd really love anybody's opinion. It's difficult, though, when I haven't even told the story yet...

I'm going to actually upload this as a comic once I get two or three pages done. It's disappointing when It's just the cover :/
