Judai have been looking up to Yugi/Atemu and wants to be the next King of Games, hoping his deck will go along side them.. So that's one reason behind this two.
Beside that, Judai is really close to him in my fan fics (yeah, he like to glomp/hug and always hyper ^^ ).
