I put it in Other Books/Comics because there is no Grimm's Fairy Tales category...and Little Red Riding Hood isn't really my character, but this is my interpretation of her.
This is to celebrate my finishing on Ludwig Revolution! ^ ^ I actually wanted to something like Snow White or Cinderella, but I could only think of something for Little Red Riding Hood.
So my interpretation. I never really trusted little red riding hood and I never thought she was really that innocent and just going to her grandmother's. I think she could tell who her grandmother is, she was just stalling! That or she's really dumb...because wolves look nothing like humans. Yeah, so I've never really liked little red riding hood...>.> I liked ze wolf! X3
Anyways, the reason for her violent look in this. Well, she has a rood hood, and the red caps had red caps. So I imagined her to be similar to them. Red Caps were fairies or elves, or some kind of mythical creature with a red hat that is constantly killing people to keep themselves alive because their red hats are stained with blood and if it dries out then they die.
So I thought of her to be like one of them, and how wolves have to eat to survive and they are carnivores, then she is actually the wolf. And she has to kill to survive. But she's two sided. She's bipolar. Yep, not a very happy character.
Well, this is what happens when I read Kaori Yuki's manga, read about too much folklore, and play the ethnic fairytale game (Little Red Riding Hood was told through a Chinese point of view...and I was really scared playing it...TT^TT Gosh, Grimm's Fairy Tales are definitely not for children, there was hardly one story that didn't scare me when playing...but there was no Bluebeard, so I was from that to scar my life!). I can't remember it's name, but it had Grimm's Fairy Tales told from different ethnic backgrounds like Chinese and Native American and Latino...It was really weird...I should try finding out what it was called (nostalgia!).
Sorry for the violence! I hope this acceptable, we can just think of it as paint, because it's not like she's in the act, it's just showing her violent essence.
Oh! And because Little Red Riding Hood was probably based off of life in Eastern Europe, a tried to make her look like an Eastern European, with brown hair and brown eyes (otherwise she'd have blonde hair and blue eyes). I get a bit annoyed whenever I see her drawn with blonde hair because if she's going to be the common Eastern European in the 19th century, she's gotta have brown hair and brown eyes! >.> I'm too picky about hair colours and eye colours when it comes to the area! XD Too much research! XD
