Apologies in advanced for it being smudgy~ It's my first scan that I made with my brand new CanoScan LiDE 100. It can scan more than 1200dpi. And it does it so quickly too +w+ Thing is, I got carried away with the dpi.. Hahahahaha~ I didn't think it would scan sooo well that it would pick up all my eraser marks and even the actual texture of the paper. It's as if you have my drawing right in front of you. (To me, that's not a good thing since I erased without restraint)

About the Drawing::

The person in the picture is Yamashita Tomohisa (also widely known as Yamapi). He is a Japanese idol, actor and singer. He is a member of the Japanese boyband NEWS and is also active as a solo artist.

Yamashita joined the Japanese talent agency Johnny & Associates in 1996 at the age of 11 and made his official CD debut with NEWS in 2004. In 2006 he debuted as a solo artist with the hit single Daite Senorita.

Yamashita's recent works include the Summer 2009 series Buzzer Beat and the Winter 2010 series Code Blue 2. Buzzer Beat and Code Blue 2 both aired in Fuji TV's prestigious getsukyu (Monday 9pm) time-slot in Japan, making Yamashita the first person to have starred in two getsukyus with only a single drama season in between.

Yamashita holds a degree in marketing from Meiji University's faculty of commerce.

The Theme::

For further improvement in my art, I'm working on portraits. But not just any kind of portraits. They're anime-portraits. Or something like that.. But even though they are in the anime-style, I want to have each of them possess something that makes them look like the actual person I was drawing. Some people complain that the drawing doesn't look anime-like at all. xD Oh well. (this is actually more difficult than this sounds..)

I'll be drawing all kinds of people. Mostly k-pop celebs but, anyone I can find a picture of on the net could end up being drawn. XD Anyway, we'll see how well that goes.

All comments (silly, serious, critique-ish?) are ok with me. :3
Ad I DEFINITELY will do my best to make sure the next one comes out cleaner. I'll even draw another one of Yamapi again to make up for this one. TwT
