I don't know, I just got bored and wanted to try something like this with gimp, not to mention "Sea of Twilight/Tasogare No Umi," the ending for the .Hack Liminality OVAs was stuck in my head and there was a scene similar to this(but a lot different looking anyway) in the ending credits(now if I could only find the video to show you~)
