I did this in water color.
The frame was done with Acrylics. I think I used an old cereal box for the frame. Cut it out as one whole piece and then basically dipped it in paint, Antique White. After it dried I shellacked it with more Acrylic; clear of course. I think it was Apple Barrel Sealer.
I also used "Sparkle Glaze" by Apple Barrel to shellac the painting; which unfortunately caused it to streak. >X-[]
